GENESIS FUELTECH AWARDED DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY RESEARCH GRANT

Genesis Fueltech Inc. announces that it has been awarded a small business research grant by the US Department of Energy. This funding will be used to advance the development of Genesis’ hydrogen purification and separation technology.

The title of the research project is “Membrane Structures For Hydrogen Separation”. The project will test new architectures and fabrication processes for metallic membranes. Genesis’ specific objective is to develop low cost, durable palladium alloy membranes that can be used in fuel cell power systems and for the on-demand manufacture of ultra pure hydrogen. These membranes would substantially lower manufacturing costs of fuel processors and hydrogen purification devices. Low cost durable membranes will enable the rapid commercialization and deployment of fuel cell power systems.

Headquartered in Spokane, Washington, Genesis Fueltech Inc. is a world leader in the manufacture of high efficiency methanol fuel processors and in the design of compact integrated methanol reforming fuel cell systems.
