GENESIS FUELTECH INTRODUCES NEW MODEL 20L HYDROGEN GENERATOR
November 19, 2008
Genesis Fueltech Inc. has introduced to the market its latest generation of Model 20L hydrogen generator. This hydrogen generator (“reformer”) produces ultra pure hydrogen on demand from a fuel mix of methanol and water. Output of hydrogen is sufficient to operate a 1.25 kilowatt fuel cell. Systems have been delivered to fuel cell companies in North America and Europe, principally, for evaluation in telecommunications backup and stationary power applications.
The systems have met or exceeded all expectations of the customers. Dr. Anders Ocklind, Managing Director of Sweden’s Cellkraft AB commented, “I think your reformer is state-of-the-art in the field. Compact and excellent dynamic and transient response.”
The next product introduction (Spring 2009) planned by Genesis is a Model 80L, which will be capable of delivering sufficient hydrogen to operate a 5 kilowatt fuel cell power system. This model of hydrogen generator will also be available as optimized for fuel cell requirements of less than 5 kilowatts.
Genesis is a world leader in methanol reformation and fuel cell system integration. Genesis reformers have been easily integrated and successfully operated with fuel cells from several leading companies. They can operate efficiently at any level of output from 0% to 100% and are instantly and intuitively responsive to changes in hydrogen demand.
