Phillip Piffer, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Phillip Piffer has more than 25 years experience in the energy business, starting with a major electrical utility, then with Superior Oil (now Exxon Mobil). He founded an independent natural gas exploration, production and processing company and listed that company on a major stock exchange. Phillip Piffer has extensive experience as a management consultant and in the financing and operation of public companies. He earned an MBA from the University of Calgary and is a Certified Management Accountant.

David DeVries, President & Chief Technology Officer
Before starting Genesis, David Devries had five years research and development work with a leading fuel cell company. Mr. DeVries has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive studies towards a Ph.D. His background includes research and development work in fuel cell membranes, fuel cell systems, methanol fuel processors, catalysis, electrode assemblies, vacuum systems, and semiconductor processing. Mr. DeVries is a named inventor on 21 fuel cell/processor technology patents and patent applications.

Dr. Shibli Bayyuk, Vice President
Dr. Bayyuk has 11 years experience in fuel cell technology development and is a named inventor on 8 fuel cell patents. He is a leading expert in electrodes and in the polymer chemistry of fuel cell membranes and spent several years with a major fuel cell company. Before beginning his career in fuel cell research and development, Shibli Bayyuk was Professor of Chemistry at Gonzaga University. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Birmingham.

Larry Williams, Vice President Marketing & Director
Larry Williams has more than five years experience with a leading fuel cell development company and more than 20 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, international marketing and technology oriented business development. He has mentored a variety of technology startups and has an MBA from Eastern Washington University.

Stanley Plett, Director
For thirty years Stanley Plett was a principal owner of the highly innovative Westfield Industries Ltd. He directed marketing and distribution in North America and internationally for Westfield, which became one of the most successful private manufacturers of agriculture sector equipment in North America.
